Planning to get married in the next 6–12 months?

If so, check out Summit Church’s biblically based Premarital Class and Counseling ministry.  It is designed to provide essential training and counseling for engaged couples planning to get married within the next 6–12 months.  For engaged couples at our University Campus desiring to have a Summit Pastor officiate your wedding ceremony or to use Summit facilities for your wedding and/or reception venue, successful completion of this class and counseling is necessary.

There are two main facets of this ministry, 6 classroom group sessions and the assignment of a marriage mentor couple to mentor and coach their assigned couple.

The instruction consists of 6 class sessions, each class is 2 hours long and will be offered at the University Campus Training Room on Wednesday evenings twice a year (normally February to March and September to October).   Typically, there are 4 – 5 other engaged couples attending the class sessions where we walk through curriculum based on the Bible and the two books, Tying the Knot by Rob Green and The Meaning of Marriage by Tim and Kathy Keller.

The personalized mentoring and coaching part of the ministry is accomplished by assigning a trained Marriage Mentor couple to each engaged couple to spend a minimum of two 1:1 counseling sessions with you at a mutually convenient time and place. Typically, mentors meet 3 – 4 times to present and cover the customized results of the Prepare-Enrichment Couple Report.

Registration is $200 and includes a Prepare-Enrich Assessment Report, the class curriculum, and 2 books for each person.
