Love Your Enemies

In week ten of A Beautiful Kingdom, our series teaching through the Sermon on the Mount, Pastor Orlando Cabrera teaches from Matthew 5:38-48. Jesus takes “an eye for an eye” out of the world’s playbook of revenge and calls His followers to turn the other cheek, go the extra mile, give generously, and even love their enemies. Our citizenship in God’s kingdom outranks every earthly loyalty, so we embody the heart of our King instead of retaliating. After all, while we were still God’s enemies, Jesus loved us and gave Himself for us.
