Blessed Are the Persecuted

In week three of A Beautiful Kingdom, our series teaching through the Sermon on the Mount, Pastor Jamin Stinziano finishes the Beatitudes with Matthew 5:10-12. Jesus says persecution for following Him is an inevitable reality for citizens of His kingdom, because its values will always clash with the world’s. Jamin also offers an honest reminder that not everything that feels like persecution is persecution for righteousness’ sake. When we suffer for being like Jesus, we can rejoice, because it proves we belong to His family and points us to the great reward still to come.
