In week two of Foundations, our three-week series on Summit Church’s non-negotiables (Prayer, Family, and Personal Mission), Jesse Stewart teaches from Mark 5:24-34 about what it means to be a spiritual family. Through the story of the woman who touched Jesus’ garment, we see a Savior who refuses to let her stay hidden and calls her “daughter.” Because Jesus has healed us, we don’t have to hide our struggles, sins, or doubts. Instead, we can be known by one another and care for each other the way Jesus cares for us.
