A Posture of Desperation

Blind Bartimaeus sits by the roadside in Jericho, ignored and rebuked, until he hears that Jesus is passing by. He cries out anyway. This message walks through Mark 10 and asks what it looks like to bring our real needs to Jesus without the shame or pride that keeps us silent. This is a call to approach Jesus the way a desperate child would: certain that he hears, certain that he's both willing and able to help.
