Graphic Designer & Digital Coordinator
Part-Time, 16-20 hours
Role Summary
The Graphic Designer & Digital Coordinator will partner with the Communications Director to bring Summit Church’s visual and digital presence to life. This role combines creative design with digital coordination, helping tell the story of what God is doing through our church across print, web, and digital platforms.
The ideal candidate is both imaginative and organized—someone who can create compelling graphics for large campaigns and day-to-day needs, while managing website updates and weekly announcements with accuracy and timeliness. This part-time role (16–20 hours per week) is based at the University Campus offices and works closely with ministry leaders and the Communications team to ensure Summit’s creative and digital communications reflect our mission and culture.
Qualifications
Heart for the local church, deepening relationship with Jesus Christ, and desire to utilize his/her gifts to further His Kingdom
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to problem-solve independently
1–2 years of experience in graphic design, digital communications, or related fields (including internships, freelance work, or part-time roles)
Strong graphic design and illustration skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Procreate
Experience with print and digital design, including web graphics, email graphics, slides, and signage
Photography experience is a plus
Willingness to learn and grow in church communications and digital ministry environments
Comfortable using project management and digital collaboration tools (Monday.com, Asana, Outlook, OneDrive, etc.)
Responsibilities
Graphic Design
Collaborate with the Communications Director to create full branding campaigns for large projects (e.g., Easter, Sports Camp)
Design logos, illustrations, and other creative elements for both large and small projects
Produce print materials, including postcards, flyers, and signage, ensuring orders are placed with the correct vendors
Design digital assets such as web graphics, email visuals, and presentation slides
Website Coordination
Maintain and update the Summit website as requested by ministry leaders
Manage website calendar updates, incorporating graphics and information from Church Community Builder (CCB)
Weekly Announcements
Upload and organize announcement slides for the University Campus weekly
Design and distribute slides for other campuses (Gateway and Naples), coordinating with ministry leaders to ensure accuracy
Systems & Tools
Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Express
Procreate for illustration work
Squarespace for website management
Microsoft Outlook, OneDrive, and other office tools
Monday.com
Church Community Builder (CCB)
Work Schedule
The Social Media Manager & Staff Photographer will work 16-20 hours per week. These hours will be completed through a combination of in-office work from Monday-Thursday and event-based work which typically takes place on evenings and weekends.
