Bible Reading Plan
2 Timothy 3:16-17:
"All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work."
Our desire and hope is that the people of Summit Church would delight in God's Word and build their lives upon the Truth. Each month we will post a Bible reading plan for you to join us in seeking God together as we make Him our greatest priority.
Begin each time with prayer. Ask God to open your heart and mind to His word. Ask the Lord to reveal any unconfessed sin in your life that may hinder you from hearing from Him clearly and then confess it. Remember that the goal is not to read to finish, but to read to change! Try to be consistent in the time and place where you read the Bible.
Follow the daily reading plan and read the assigned chapter for the day. Pick out one verse from your reading and focus in on that verse, using the SOAP method, and write your responses in your prayer journal. Close each time in prayer asking God to cause you to meditate on His Word throughout the day and increase your passion for His Truth.

SOAP Bible Study Method
Study: Write down the verse/scripture that stood out to you from today’s reading.
Observation: Write down a couple of observations about the scripture you just read. You may want to write your own summary of the passage, but more importantly, think about what God has to say to you through this part of his word.
Application: Write down how this Bible passage applies to you right now, in your daily life.
Prayer: Write down a prayer. This is a personal message from you to God, so don’t worry about getting the perfect words down. Just make it honest and heartfelt. Remember that God always listens, and already knows your needs. He just wants to hear from you.
